Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez suffered a tough loss over the weekend. Now fighters are coming forward over social media with their thoughts on the situation.
Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier suffered a no contest in their first fight, as Alvarez landed an illegal knee to his opponent. The two mixed martial artists had a rematch in the main event of UFC on FOX 30 this Saturday.
Alvarez landed an illegal downward elbow to Poirier’s head in the second round of their fight. Referee Marc Goddard stood the fighters up after momentarily halting the bout.
Once the fight was back on, Poirier fired off a flurry of blows that ultimately earned the competitor a TKO victory over Alvarez. Check out what many fighters thoughts of the finish down below.
