Mixed martial arts legend Bas Rutten has faced them all. Throughout his illustrious career within the sport, Rutten has taken on some of the toughest and most talented fighters around. However, it would appear that the UFC Hall of Famer nearly added an NFL linebacker to the list.
Speaking on The Best Damn Sports Show Period, Bas Rutten revealed that he and NFL star Brian Urlacher were once at a charity event. Rutten claims to have accidentally stepped on the football player’s foot, leading to a verbal altercation.
Urlacher supposedly asked Rutten if he would like to step outside, to which Rutten accepted. However, Urlacher was pulled back by his friends and informed of Rutten’s fighting pedigree.
