Danis Compares Conor’s Grappling Skills With Khabib’s, Doesn’t Think It’s Close

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is set to take on Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229. Now the Ireland native’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Dillon Danis has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.

Speaking on ESPN’s Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Dillon Danis revealed that he believes Conor McGregor could defeat Khabib Nurmagomedov in a grappling match.

“Conor could beat Khabib in a grappling match. I think if you put them in a grappling match like ADCC, I think people would be surprised. Conor is a special athlete. The way he moves his body. He has the ability to move in certain ways and make passes and stuff. He’s a really good athlete.”

Either way, McGregor and “The Eagle” will throw down Oct. 6 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., live on pay-per-view.
