The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 25th Anniversary Press Conference took place on Friday, Aug. 3, and featured a series of exciting fight announcement. In total, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has officially locked down seven fights for some of the UFC’s upcoming cards.
UFC lightweights James Vick and Justin Gaethje are now set to throw down on Aug. 25 inside the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska for UFC Fight Night 135. Beyond that, UFC women flyweight champion Nicco Montano will be taking on Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 228 on Sept. 8 in Dallas, Texas.
Headlining the same card, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will be taking on Darren Till. Meanwhile, light heavyweight contenders Jimmi Manuwa and Glover Teixeira are set to throw down at UFC Fight Night 137. The event will take place Sept. 22 inside the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Light heavyweights Anthony Smith and Volkan Oezdemir have been locked down for a match up at UFC Moncton on Oct. 27 in Moncton, Canada. Welterweights Mike Perry and Donald Cerrone will, however, be throwing down at UFC Denver on Nov. 10 in Denver, Colorado.
Middleweights Derek Brunson and Israel Adesanya are set to fight at UFC 230. The event will take place on Nov. 3 from within the Madison Square Garden in New York. Lastly, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar is now set to throw down with Chan Sung Yung at UFC Denver alongside Cerrone vs. Perry.
