Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo shocked the world over the weekend. Now a photo of the mixed martial artist sleeping with his newly earned UFC belt is making its way around the internet.
The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 227 took place on Saturday, Aug. 4, from within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. In the night’s co-main event, live on pay-per-view, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson faced off against Henry Cejudo.
Demetrious Johnson came into the fight on an 11 title defense winning streak, which broke the record for most consecutive title defenses in UFC history. Beyond that, “Mighty Mouse” was the only flyweight champion in the history of the promotion. Of course, that all changed on Saturday.
Henry Cejudo and Demetrious Johnson ultimately went the distance. In the end, Cejudo earned a split decision victory for the UFC flyweight title.
