UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis is riding a unanimous decision victory over top division contender and former title challenger Francis Ngannou at the moment. Now it would appear that “The Black Beast” has locked down his next big octagon performance.
Speaking on The MMA Hour, Derrick Lewis revealed that he is now set to face off against Alexander Volkov in the co-main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6. The event will take place from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. and will be featured live on pay-per-view.
Headlining the night’s event, Conor McGregor will face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title.
