Tony Ferguson Reacts To The UFC’s Lightweight Division Moving On Without Him

On a massive winning streak, and recently stripped of his UFC interim lightweight world title, Tony Ferguson now finds himself far removed from any hopes of getting a proper title fight, and he knows it.

Dustin Poirier made a solid case for himself when he knocked out Eddie Alvarez in last Saturday’s UFC main event.

You add that with the return of Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor, and the recent fight bookings between Conor-Khabib, and Nate-Poirier, and Ferguson is totally on the outs.

The scenario here is plain to see.

Both Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor are destined for a trilogy fight, and if they both win, or they both lose, that’s the obvious on-deck attraction.

At the same time, if Dustin Poirer defeats Nate Diaz, he will no doubt get the Khabib-McGregor winner.

This puts Tony out of the picture for at the very least the next 6-8 months.
