UFC Brazil Takes Another Hit, Loses Second Main Card Bout In Two Days

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be heading back to Sao Paulo, Brazil for another exciting fight card later this year. That being said, it would appear that the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion will not be delivering two of the card’s announced bouts come fight night.

UFC Fight Night 137 is set to go down Sept. 22 from within the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil. Headlining the night’s event, UFC light heavyweight contenders Jimi Manuwa and Thiago Santos are set to throw down for the Sau Paulo crowd.

As previously reported, Ketlen Vieira has been removed from her scheduled bout against former Invicta FC bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger from the night’s card. The UFC is now reportedly searching for a new opponent to take on Evinger.

Now MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz has come forward to report that middleweight Antonio Carlos Jr. has been pulled from his fight against Elias Theodorou on the night’s card after having suffered a yet undisclosed injury.
