UFC welterweight Sage Northcutt is currently on a three fight winning streak inside the octagon. That being said, as previously reported, the talented mixed martial artist has since decided to become a free agent.
While Northcutt has shown an interest in the likes of Bellator MMA, the Karate phenom has also voiced a desire to go toe-to-toe with YouTube sensation Logan Paul. Logan Paul’s recent boxing match against fellow YouTube star KSI earned a reported 784,000 pay-per-view purchases over YouTube in August.
Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Sage Northcutt elaborated on his interest in facing Logan Paul now that he is no longer signed with the UFC.
“Any fighter fighting in the UFC would take the opportunity to take a fight against a YouTuber and stand to make several million dollars … I’m not too big for him. I definitely don’t outweigh him. It would be a lot of fun.
“Either [boxing or MMA] is good for the sport. I know Logan Paul just had a boxing fight. It takes a lot of courage just to step in a ring and do that. I think it’s a great opportunity for both of us.”
