While wrestling is certainly a strong foundation for many mixed martial artists, the sport is of course its own entity. This high school wrestling meet, however, quickly shifted to an MMA match of sorts.
Within the video above, two high school wrestlers can be seen competing. However, the match quickly turned into a striking fest as one of the competitors struck his opponent in the head during a takedown.
From the ground, the two wrestlers continued to swing on each other. The referee did not seem to mind all the while. Check it out within the video provided above.
