German mixed martial arts promotion GMC put on an event over the weekend. While the fight card offered some interesting match ups, the weigh-in for the event is currently getting fight fans’ attention.
GMC 16 went down Sept. 1, featuring a series of match ups. Headlining the card, light heavyweight champion Jan Gottvald faced off against Stephan Puetz. Appearing at the weigh-ins ahead of the match up, Puetz had a surprise for the audience.
The fighter toted a large bag onto the stage before hitting the scales. Just before his following staredown with Gottvald, Puetz then opened the bag, revealing that a person was inside. The individual then perched on Puetz’s shoulders as the fighter performed his mean mugging with Gottvald.
