UFC 228 Takes A Hit, Loses Bout On A Week’s Notice

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently gearing up for another exciting night of fights. That being said, it would appear that the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion may have just lost a bout for the upcoming card on just one week’s notice.

The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 228 is set to take place this Saturday, Sept. 8, from within the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas. Headlining the night’s live pay-per-view event, UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will be defending his title from undefeated rising challenger Darren Till.

Initially featured on the night’s card, flyweights Ryan Benoit and Roberto Sanchez were set to throw down for the Dallas crowd. However, it would appear that Benoit has been pulled from the match up.

UFC flyweight Jarred Brooks first took to Facebook to announce that he now has a fight on the upcoming card.

“Just got some great news I will be competing on the UFC 228 card this weekend! Much love my people watch me do what I love”

MMABrasil.com’s Biel Carvalho has since reported that Jarred Brooks is fighting Roberto Sanchez. Sanchez was initially set to face Ryan Benoit on the night’s card. However, it would appear that the fighter has been pulled from the match up and replaced with Jarred Brooks.
