UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and mixed martial arts megastar Conor McGregor finally faced off for their first staredown back on Sept. 20. During the event, Nurmagomedov’s manager earned himself a decree from the UFC president to leave the arena. Now a video has come forward revealing what Abdelaziz said.
The UFC 229 press conference took place in New York on Thursday, offering Nurmagomedov and McGregor each an opportunity to trash-talk before their big staredown. During the staredown, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz could be heard yelling something at the Ireland native.
McGregor fired back with a hostile barrage of trash-talk before UFC President Dana White instructed Abdelaziz to leave the arena. In the latest edition of Anatomy Of A Fighter, Ali Abdelaziz revealed what precisely he told Conor McGregor before Dana White asked him to leave.
“I don’t understand why he have belt.” Abdelaziz said/ “That’s it. I said that. Why does he have the belt?”
