UFC Fight Night 138 is going down within the Avenir Centre in Moncton, Canada tonight, Oct. 27. Co-headlining the night’s event live on FOX Sports 1, UFC featherweight Artem Lobov is taking on Michael Johnson. After Lobov’s original opponent was pulled from the event, Johnson accepted the fight on just weeks notice.
Johnson missed weight by one pound, but Lobov accepted a catchweight match up against the fighter.
Lobov and Johnson battled it out in the first round. “The Russian Hammer” quickly began pouring on the pressure, but Johnson managed to land a stunning left hand on the SBG Ireland fighter. This will be a tough round for the judges.
Lobov picked up the pace even more in the second round, pummeling Johnson with some tough shots. This was a strong round for “The Russian Hammer.”
Johnson seemed to get a second wind in the final round, as the fighter began to dictate the pace of the fight. In the final 30 seconds, Johnson managed to get his opponent to the canvas. Still, this one has gone the distance.
