UFC megastar Conor McGregor is now set to make his massive return to the octagon. For the fight, “Notorious” will be taking on Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title in the main event of UFC 229.
Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, the Ireland native recently went into detail over the new six-fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) that led to his return to the sport of mixed martial arts.
“The deal I’m on now, it’s breathtaking what we have achieved. It’s a tasty, tasty, record-breaking deal. It’s give or take [nine figures]. The Mayweather [fight] was nine figures but we’re almost there. It’s a good, solid eight figures, halfway there. We’re very happy with the deal.”
“Notorious” will face Khabib Nurmagomedov this Saturday, Oct. 6. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
