UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg is currently preparing to fight reigning women’s bantamweight title holder Amanda Nunes. In preparation for the fight, Cyborg has decided to spend some time training with one of Nunes’ former opponents.

Cyborg and Nunes are set to fight live on pay-per-view at UFC 232. The event will take place Dec. 29.
In preparation for the fight, Cyborg is now training with former title challenge Valentina Shevchenko. Shevchenko has faced Nunes twice before, having suffered a loss to the champion on both occasions.
Now Shevchenko is preparing to fight former women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 231 for the vacant women’s flyweight title. The fight will take place live on pay-per-view Dec. 8.
