UFC superstar Nate Diaz and lightweight contender Dustin Poirier have been getting into it over social media as of late. Now it would appear that the highly anticipated fight between the two top-level mixed martial artists may be in jeopardy.
Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier are currently locked in to fight within the co-main event of UFC 230. The live pay-per-view fight card will take place Nov. 3 from within Madison Square Garden in New York.
Nate Diaz and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) entered negotiations concerning the bout. While Nate Diaz was interested in fighting for the inaugural 165 pound title within UFC 230’s main event, the promotion was seemingly hesitant to permit Dustin Poirier to compete at the weight class, as Poirier is traditionally a featherweight. Consequently, Valentina Shevchenko has since been given a headliner bout for UFC 230.
After negotiations opened up with the UFC, Nate Diaz offered a message to the masses.
“I’m Happy to announce that I’m bringing a new weight devision to the Ufc I’ll be fighting the main event November 3rd in nyc against Dustin Poirier for the first ever 165lb belt superfighter devision I’m happy to be apart of history @ufc @danawhite”

However, Nate Diaz has since come forward with a heated message concerning the UFC’s refusal to book a 165 pound title fight between himself and Poirier.
Now Poirier has come forward with a new cryptic statement, hinting that a fight between the two competitors may be off.
“You really blew it Nate…”
