UFC 230 has lost yet another fighter for the night’s co-main event. This time around, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has been reportedly pulled from the event.
UFC 230 is set to go down Nov. 3 from within the illustrious Madison Square Garden in New York. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view for fight fans around the world.
UFC superstar Nate Diaz was initially set to fight UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier in the night’s co-main event. However, Poirier pulled out of the fight after suffering an injury.
Consequently, the UFC decided to removed Nate Diaz from the card as well. Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold was then set to fight fellow former title holder Chris Weidman in a rematch for the night’s co-main event.
However, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has now come forward to report that Luke Rockhold has been pulled from the fight after having suffered an injury.
“Per sources, Luke Rockhold is out of his middleweight fight against Chris Weidman at UFC 230. UFC already working on shuffling things around. This is the co-main event currently.”
