Floyd Mayweather Has Officially Accepted Khabib’s Challenge To A Fight

Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has grown to UFC superstar status ever since his dominant performance over Conor McGregor back at UFC 229. Now it would appear that the reigning champion and undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. are eyeing a match against each other.

Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229 back on Saturday, Oct. 6. Since then, a video of Nurmagomedov side by side with Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe has made its way to the internet.

As seen within the footage provided above, Khabib Nurmagomedov can be seen challenging Floyd Mayweather Jr. to a fight.

“Hey, let’s go, Floyd. We have to fight now. 50-0 vs. 27-0. Two guys never lose. Let’s go. Why not? Because in the jungle, only one king. Only one king. Of course, I am the king because he cannot drop McGregor but I drop him easily. Let’s go.”

Conor McGregor faced Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the squared circle back in 2017, ultimately suffering a TKO defeat within the tenth round to the undefeated pugilist. Now, however, it would appear that Mayweather and Nurmagomedov are fast tracking themselves to a possible match up.

Taking to Twitter, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has since issued a response to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s fight offer.

“CBS, Showtime and MGM Grand get the checkbook out! Go to @leonardellerbe ‘s page to view Khabib Nurmagomedov challenging me. #CBS #SHOWTIME #MGMGRAND #MayweatherPromotions”
