Joanna Out Of Proposed Flyweight Title Fight, UFC Books Shevchenko On 30 Days Notice

Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko was initially targeted to throw down against former UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejsczyk. However, it would appear that the bout idea has been cancelled and Shevchenko has been moved to another fight card.

The two competitors were initially targeted to battle it out for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title at UFC 231. However, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has since come forward to report that Valentina Shevchenko will now be fighting Sijara Eubanks for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title in the main event of UFC 230.

The event is only a month away, as UFC 230 will take place Nov. 3 from within the Madison Square Garden in New York. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
