The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and ONE Championship are reportedly in negotiations concerning a possible trade offer. Now one of the fighters involved has finally come forward with a statement.

As previously reported, ONE Championship is currently attempting to trade their former welterweight champion Ben Askren for the UFC’s former flyweight title holder Demetrious Johnson. While roster exchanges are commonplace in the likes of the NFL or MLB, no major mixed martial arts promotion has yet to take part in a fighter trade. Consequently, this is certainly a historic moment for the sport.
Taking to Twitter, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson has since come forward to offer a public statement on the matter. Check it out below.
