The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 229 is finally going down inside the octagon. Now fight fans can check out the UFC results from the night’s intense co-headliner.
UFC 229 is taking place inside the illustrious T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. tonight, Oct. 6, for fight fans worldwide. Co-headlining the night’s live pay-per-view, former interim UFC lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is now going toe-to-toe with former UFC lightweight title holder Anthony Pettis for the Las Vegas crowd.
Tony Ferguson opened up the first round with an impressive display. Coming back from a five-month recovery after a debilitating knee injury, Tony Ferguson began pummeling the former champion with a series of blows. This was a strong round for “El Cucuy.”
Ferguson and Pettis each suffered brutal cuts early in the second round. However, neither fighter appeared deterred from trading in the center of the octagon.
In between the second and third round, Anthony Pettis’ coach Duke Roufus called a stop to the fight as the former champion broke his hand.
