Things have been incredibly heated between UFC’s Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for quite some time now. On April 5, “Notorious” attacked a UFC charter bus by throwing a hand truck into one of the bus windows.
The attack was an attempt to rattle Khabib Nurmagomedov after the Dagestan native had a physical confrontation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier. While Nurmagomedov was unscathed, several individuals were harmed in the attack.
Conor McGregor ultimately faced the New York court system over the matter, having reached a plea deal that had all of his felony criminal charges dropped. McGregor and Nurmagomedov finally fought in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6, with the Dagestan native successfully defending his UFC lightweight title with a submission victory over “Notorious.”
Nurmagomedov then leaped out of the octagon and attacked McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis, sparking a massive brawl between the two fight camps. The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) is currently performing an investigation into the incident.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion and reigning WWE women’s RAW champion Ronda Rousey has now come forward to reveal that she is more irked by Conor McGregor’s bus antics than Khabib Nurmagomedov’s UFC 229 brawl.
“If you’re going to draw the line there, you should have drawn it before that.” Rousey said, when asked about Nurmagomedov’s UFC 229 brawl. “I think that Khabib jumping out of the octagon was not as bad as throwing objects at a bus. My friend Rose Namajunas was on that bus. My friend Mike Chiesa missed his fight because he got cut. I just feel like everyone should be equal treatment across the board.
“I don’t think that anyone should get special treatment because they’re a bigger draw.”
