Two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier will be putting his heavyweight title on the line this Saturday at UFC 230. With that in mind, the reigning champion’s upcoming opponent is the only fighter to have beaten D.C. on the official UFC punching machine.
Daniel Cormier and talented knockout artist Derrick Lewis are now set to face off in the main event of UFC 230, live on pay-per-view. Appearing on UFC on FOX, Derrick Lewis took a swing at the UFC’s punching machine and topped the scoreboard just above Daniel Cormier.
Speaking on UFC on FOX, Daniel Cormier has since come forward with a few words on the matter.
“I’ve got way too many second place medals in my life.” Cormier said. “You guys can keep that one. I’m good with it.”
“I’m gad he’s on top there, because that’s the only place he’ll ever be on top of me.” Cormier later added. “That’s the only time he’s ever going to win against me.”
