Talented knockout artist Derrick Lewis suffered a tough loss over the weekend. Now the heavyweight contender has come forward with a few words on the matter.

Derrick Lewis challenged Daniel Cormier for his heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 230 on Saturday, Nov. 3. However, Cormier earned a dominant submission victory over “The Black Beast.”
Speaking at the UFC 230 post-fight press conference, Derrick Lewis has now come forward with his thoughts on the difficult defeat.
“He did what we thought he was going to do. He wrestled, point blank. I was feeling good in the second round, throwing, had good movement going, and he just went for the takedown.”
“He did pretty good on that, I didn’t expect him to do that (single-leg takedowns). I guess that’s part of the chain wrestling or something like that, they call it, so he did pretty good on that, caught me off guard.”
