Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones first faced off back at UFC 182, in which Jones earned a decision victory over his opponent. D.C. and Jones then had their rematch at UFC 214.

Jones knocked out Cormier in the fight. However, the result was overturned to a no contest after Jones failed yet another drug test.

Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Daniel Cormier has since come forward to reveal that he is not interested in a trilogy rematch.

“I don’t need [the Jones fight] anymore. Sometimes you need things and sometimes you don’t. … I’ve come to terms with everything. Because he was gone so much, I had to remove myself from the situation so completely that it almost became not reality.”
