Scott Holtzman had an impressive three-fight winning streak before losing a unanimous decision to Nik Lentz. The former XFC Lightweight Champion will try to get back into the win column against a well-rounded Korean fighter, Dong Hyun Ma (16-9-3). Like Holtzman, Ma was on a three-fight winning streak before he got knocked out by Devonte Smith at UFC 234. It is now or never situation for both fighters to make a statement in the stacked lightweight division

Rd 1 – Holtzman takes the outside position and opens the fight with a couple of leg kicks. Ma stays patient and making reads. Ma starts switching his stances as Holtzman charges forward and lands a right hand. He steps in once again and drops Ma with the hard right hand! Ma is hurt! Holtzman follows with some ground and pound! He backs off and takes the half guard position. Ma is controlling the posture from the bottom. He sinks in the guillotine choke! However, Holtzman is out of danger and in the full mount position! Ma scrambles and gets the half guard back. Holtzman is displaying strong top control. Holtzman stands up and unloads on Ma with the punches! Ma manages to counter with the nice right. However, another right cracks Ma!
Rd 2 – Holtzman opens the round with a leg kick but Ma nicely counters with the right. Holtzman is attacking from all angles. Ma charges forward but eats another right! Both fighters are landing hard shots! This is a pure war! Ma level changes and gets the takedown! Holtzman is back to his feet but stuck into the body lock. Holtzman manages to free himself and he explodes with the big punches! Big shots are landing! Ma connects with a big left counter and drops Holtzman! Holtzman is immediately up and controlling the clinch. He separates and continues to outbox Ma. However, Ma is returning fire! Both fighters are swinging like crazy! Holtzman slows the action with the clinch. Ma separates and they are back at it! Holtzman wants to close the show! Holtzman times the entry on the double and scores a takedown. Holtzman with the late ground and pound. MA IS NOT CLEAR TO CONTINUE, HIS LEFT EYE IS COMPLETELY CLOSED!
