Priscila Cachoeira suffered a tough loss over the weekend. The UFC newcomer made her octagon debut in the co-headliner for UFC Fight Night 125, taking on former UFC bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko for the match up.
Shevchenko earned a lopsided victory over the fighter, submitting her in the second round. The former title challenger would go on to earn a UFC record setting 217-1 striking statistic for the fight.
Cachoeira suffered some serious damage during the match up. The fighter received deep cuts and bruises on her face, but also tore her meniscus and ACL.
The match has since drawn some controversy, as fans have gone to speculate that the fight could have been stopped sooner. Now longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has decided to share his thoughts on the matter.
Taking to Twitter, Rogan stated:
“Good lord @BulletValentina is a terrifying, ferocious woman. Very impressed with her performance tonight. She was relentless.”
