UFC superstar Conor McGregor has been away from the world of mixed martial arts for some time now. That being said, “Notorious” is now taking to social media to trash talk UFC champions in waves.
“Notorious” has not competed inside the octagon since winning the UFC lightweight title back in 2016. Since then, McGregor made his boxing debut on Aug. 26, 2017.
While the fighter suffered a loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the pugilist battle, McGregor still walked away with the payday of his career. Now “Notorious” appears to be looking to get back into the world of MMA.
Conor McGregor was supposedly interested in filling the empty co-main event slot for UFC 222 against Frankie Edgar, before the slot was filled by Brian Ortega. While that may have not worked out, “Notorious” is now trash talking UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway and UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson over social media.
Check it out below:
You had nothing to gain from taking that fight @FrankieEdgar. But you took it you defended what you already earned. There’s no belt for sacrificing everything but true fans and Jersey knows no belt can outshine what you bring to the sport. Chin up bratha
