It would appear that the relationship between UFC President Dana White and UFC superstar Conor McGregor has already mended following the fighter’s recent fracas at the Barclays Center.
Conor McGregor made headlines when he decided to make a surprise visit to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, April 5, during the UFC 223 Media Day. Leading a large group of individuals, McGregor and his entourage allegedly attacked a bus filled with competitors set to fight at UFC 223.
Multiple individuals suffered injuries during the fracas. Among them, Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg were pulled from their upcoming bouts due to injuries received during the incident.
Conor McGregor would later turn himself in to police. The fighter is now facing misdemeanor charges of assault and a felony charge of criminal mischief.
UFC President Dana White has been vocal about the incident, calling the fracas a “bad career move” for McGregor. When asked if he still desired to work with “Notorious,” White went on to explain that he did not at the moment.
With all of that in mind, just three days removed from the incident, it would appear that White and McGregor are already on better terms. When asked about his relationship with McGregor at the recent UFC 223 Post-Fight Press Conference, White said “It’s good. I think that there is a mutual respect between us.”
Conor McGregor has made bail and is now permitted to travel internationally. The fighter is due back in court June 14.
