Two weeks ago Boxing Legend Manny Pacquiao announced his next opponent as Amir Khan.
It’s a massive fight by all accounts, one even the most casual of boxing fan can get behind. Typically, and especially in boxing, it’s rare for a fighter the stature of Pacquiao to announce an opponent without being certain the deal is done.
But, that appears to be the case this time, unfortunately for fight fans. As, Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum killed the fight with one recent statement to ESPN.
“Michael (Koncz) is on his way back to meet with Manny but it’s kaddish for the UAE deal,” Arum told them. “It’s dead. I’m talking to him about another proposal for another fight, not Khan. Khan won’t be Manny’s next opponent.”
