MMA legend Tito Ortiz still has some ill feelings towards Chael Sonnen after the two fought.
On Tuesday, Ortiz talked to fans about his recent fight with Sonnen during a Facebook Live Q&A.
“Chael is a d***head,” Ortiz said.
Last Saturday, at Bellator 170, Ortiz submitted Sonnen with a rear-naked choke in the first round of their main event fight.
“Did you see how red his face was?” Ortiz said. “I almost ripped his neck off. I almost broke his head. I almost broke his jaw. I was squeezing for dear life, that’s for sure.”
Ortiz’s submission victory warranted some controversy due to Ortiz holding onto his submission for longer than he needed to. Referee “Big” John McCarthy was forced to physically intervene in order to get Ortiz to release the choke.
Following his submission win, Ortiz retired from MMA. He retires from the sport with a record of 19-12-1. Ortiz is a former UFC light heavyweight champion and is a member of the UFC hall of fame.
