UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier madie UFC history when he knocked out Stipe Miocic within the first round of UFC 226’s headliner for the heavyweight title. Now, however, Stipe Miocic has taken to social media to prod D.C. with another bit of trash-talk.
UFC News
Prior to being knocked out by D.C., Stipe Miocic broke the record for most consecutive title defenses within the UFC’s heavyweight division. With that in mind, the Cleveland native has been campaigning for a rematch against Daniel Cormier.
However, Cormier called out former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar in his UFC 226 post-fight interview. D.C. is now considering taking on the former title holder early 2019, if things line up for the two-division champion.
Currently, Cormier is set to face off against talented knockout artist Derrick Lewis in a heavyweight title fight for the main event of UFC 230. The fight will go down in Madison Square Garden in New York this Saturday, Nov. 3.
Taking to Twitter, Stipe Miocic has decided to take a shot at the reigning champion. Check it out below.
“Looks like DC is ducking everyone in NYC!! Don’t worry @dc_mma, I’m only here for the fans… You’re safe for now”
