While there is no doubt that Ultimate Fighting Championship has the best collection of mixed martial artists in the world, the fact that they are letting so much top talent go can only help the growth of the sport. Bellator has already picked up top tier talent like Ryan Bader and Lorenz Larkin, but they just scored another top-five fighter to their roster.
Former UFC Featherweight Championship challenger Michael McDonald has signed with Bellator MMA, ESPN reports. While a date has yet to be set for the debut of McDonald, it’s safe to bet that Scott Coker and company will be rushing to put him on the New York City card that will take place in Madison Square Garden.
