UFC fighter “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings wants to fight at flyweight but is not willing to compete on another season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Last week, the UFC released a press release announcing they were going to begin promoting fights at 125 pounds for female fighters. However, UFC President Dana White later said the press release was an error, and they had yet to decide whether or not they are bringing in a women’s flyweight division.
Regardless, Rawlings in one of the women who has been campaigning for a women’s flyweight division in the UFC.
Rawlings has previously fought as a strawweight but has struggled to make the weight. Rawlings has claimed in the past that the drastic weight cut to 115 pounds has done harm to her body.
On Monday, Rawlings tweeted that she does not want to compete on TUF.
“I have ZERO intentions of competing on another TUF,” Rawlings tweeted.
Rawling’s competed on season 20 of TUF, which determined the inaugural UFC women’s strawweight champion.
If the UFC creates a women’s flyweight division, the first champion would be determined by whoever wins the next season of TUF.
