UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero is a large betting favorite over UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping.
On Wednesday, UFC President Dana White announced former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will no longer be next for Bisping. Instead, Romero will get the next shot at the title.
After White made the announcement, Romero quickly became a -300 favorite over the champion. Bisping is a +230 underdog.
Romero is currently undefeated in the UFC. He is on an eight-fight win streak. He is coming off a TKO win over former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman last November. Romero’s win streak also includes wins over Ronald “Jacare” Souza, Lyoto Machida, Tim Kennedy, and Derek Brunson.
Bisping is on a five-fight win streak. Last October, he defended his title successfully against Dan Henderson. He won the title in June 2016 by knocking out Luke Rockhold. His win streak also includes a win over former champion Anderson Silva.
The UFC has yet to announce an official date for when Bisping will defend his title against Romero.
