Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate has begun reflecting on her career since retiring from MMA.
On Thursday, Tate posted a photo of herself being submitted by former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey back when the two first fought in Strikeforce back in 2012.
She also posted a photo of herself towards the end of her career as well.
“As I reflect on my career I’m thankful for the highs, the lows and everything I learned in between. I guess it really is true what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, if you let it,” Tate wrote on her Instagram.
Tate retired from the sport following her recent loss to Raquel Pennington back in November at UFC 205.
Tate will go down as one of the pioneers for women’s MMA. Her legendary career is highlighted by winning the women’s bantamweight title in both Strikeforce and the UFC.
