Mixed martial arts is a dangerous sport, all combat sports are. Still, many of the sport’s various promotions have begun taking measures to make sure that competition is as safe for everyone as possible. For this new found injury, it may take some out of the box thinking.
As reported by Middle Easy, lightweight mixed martial artist Eduard Vartanyan was set to compete in the co-main event for the ACB Fight League promotion. However, ACB 61 was cut short of its co-main event as Vartanyan faced an injury at the weigh-ins.
Eduard Vartanyan faced an injury during the event’s weigh-ins. As a result, the fighter’s left toe has been severely damaged. Now, Eduard Vartanyan has been removed from ACB 61 and the ACB Fight League is now short a co-main event.
