UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has not been receiving much love for his title defense against grappling phenom Demian Maia at Saturday night’s UFC 214 co-main event. After the fight broke the UFC record for least strikes thrown in a UFC title fight, the two competitors received a large amount of flack from the MMA community. Among them, UFC President Dana White has shown his distaste in the champion’s performance. Now, Woodley has a response.
On today’s edition of The MMA Hour, Woodley explained that he is owed a public apology from the president.
“I’m owed a public apology. You are going to publicly scrutinize me, Dana White? You publicly need to apologize to me. I’ve done nothing but good stuff for the sport. I have done nothing but be a good model for the organization. I go out there and I fight with integrity.”
The fighter then revealed that he will leak information if he does not receive his apology. “And if I don’t get that, I am going to start leaking some (expletive) that people don’t want to be out in the wind. And I’m not even kidding about that.” He said.
