Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is seemingly not happy with Michael Bisping’s recent reign as current middleweight title holder. Now, the former champion thinks “The Count” should be stripped of his belt.
In a recent interview with ESPN, Rockhold stated:
“Bisping has fought nobody in the top 10 for the last year-and-a-half and still isn’t going to fight anybody in the top 10. Where does that put him? I think they should pull the title from guys like that who don’t fight anybody at the top. They pulled the title from [Germaine de Randamie] because she wouldn’t fight the No. 1 contender. Why is this any f–king different?”
Michael Bisping has been stricken with injuries since his unanimous decision victory over Dan Henderson last year. Now, it would appear that the division’s contenders are growing impatient with the champion. Michael Bisping’s interest in facing formerly retired fighter Georges St-Pierre over a current contender has perhaps stoked the flames with the middleweight division.
