Showtime Now Offering Refunds For MayMac PPV, Following Class-Action Lawsuit Filing

Showtime is now offering refunds to customers who had issues watching last Saturday’s boxing match between Floyd “Money” Mayweather and UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.

A customer from Oregon has already filed a class-action lawsuit against Showtime for issues he had with streaming the fight.

Showtime representative Chris DeBlasio sent MMAjunkie a statement regarding the issues customers had with watching Mayweather vs. McGregor.

“We received a very limited number of complaints,” the statement read. “We’re reviewing all of them carefully, and we will respond accordingly. Refunds are handled at the point of sale, so with regard to Showtime’s direct to consumer, our online offering of ShowtimePPV.com and Showtime PPV app, for those that could not see the fight on those platforms, Showtime will issue a full refund. Of course, the goal is to deliver at the highest quality all of the content.”

Showtime was not the only streaming service to have issues, UFC.tv and other providers also have had customers complaining about not being able to watch the fight.
