UFC welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal recently said some negative things towards former title challenger Nate Diaz.
While talking about Diaz’s fight with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor, Masvidal insulted Diaz skills inside the Octagon.
“I would describe Nate Diaz as not the most skillful guy,” Masvidal said on UFC Top 10. “He can’t kick. He can’t wrestle.
Despite Masvidal’s opinion, Diaz managed to submit McGregor in their first fight and lost a close decision in their second bout.
Outside of his fights with McGregor, Diaz is an accomplished fighter who once earned an opportunity at the UFC title. His career is highlighted by impressive wins over Takanori Gomi, Donald Cerrone, Jim Miller, and Michael Johnson.
Masvidal is currently scheduled to fight former UFC title challenger Stephen Thompson at UFC 217 on Nov. 4 in New York City.
In his last fight, Masvidal lost a split decision to Demian Maia. His career is highlighted by wins over Jake Ellenberger, Donald Cerrone, and Michael Chiesa.
