Striking phenom Alistair Overeem will try to shut down rising heavyweight fighter Francis Ngannou at UFC 218. The two recently booked a fight against each other this week.
Francis Ngannou is riding an impressive 9 fight winning streak, with an undefeated record of 5-0 inside the octagon. That being said, Alistair Overeem has a message for the knockout machine, and it’s dark.
Using lyrics from an Eminem track, Overeem says he’s going to put Ngannou in the dirt, and more.
Over Instagram, Overeem stated:
“It’s on!!! ?Detroit I’m coming!! #ufc218 #detroit #eminem #gotosleep @ufc #ufc @mmapic”
The fighter then offered some lyrics from famed hip hop artist Eminem’s song “Go to Sleep.”
Here are the lyrics down below:
“I ain’t gonna eat, I ain’t gonna sleep
Ain’t gonna breathe, til I see, what I wanna see
And what I wanna see, is you go to sleep, in the dirt
Permanently, you just being hurt”
Alistair Overeem is currently riding a two fight winning streak. Most recently, Overeem edged out a majority decision victory over mixed martial arts veteran Fabricio Werdum at UFC 213.
UFC 218 is set to go down Dec. 2 inside the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
