Las Vegas, Nev. suffered a terrible tragedy on Sunday night. Thousands of music fans gathered together for the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival across the street from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Sunday night. From the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort, a gunman opened fire on the unsuspecting crowd.
As reported by ABC News, the death toll from the mass shooting has risen to 59 with 527 people having been injured from the attack. The shooter was later identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, who was found dead in his hotel room. The mass shooting has now become the wort in modern U.S. history.
Now UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts on the situation. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Dana White explained that he does not believe people should support the GoFundMe services dedicated to help those in need from the tragedy. For Dana White, the help should come from the businesses of Las Vegas, Nev.
Here is what Dana White had to say:
“What I would say is… I would say don’t donate to one of these GoFundMes. Let me tell you what, there is enough money in Las Vegas for the people who live here, [with] the businesses that thrive here, to take care of its own. That’s the way I think it should be. I think that every casino on the strip should dig in and help. I think that businesses like mine and a lot of other people’s that do well here in Las Vegas can help. I say to the people outside of Las Vegas, don’t be afraid to come here.”
