Gov. Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency over California after several residents were forced to evacuate their homes on Monday due to the raging wildfires.
As reported by Fox News, an estimated 20,000 people have been evacuated due to 14 huge wildfires. A total of 1,500 homes have been destroyed from the fires that stretch across eight counties of northern California. UFC middleweight champion and California resident Michael “The Count” Bisping has decided to express his thoughts on the incident.
As seen in the video above, Michael Bisping explained that homes near his own have been destroyed from the fires and some of his neighbors have already evacuated. That being said, Bisping does not plan on evacuating his family.
“This is right by out house. Some poor peoples homes, completely destroyed.
“This is our neighborhood right here. We are not even evacuating. Some of the neighbors are still here. Fingers crossed.”
Bisping is set to welcome back former UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre back to the octagon on November 4th at UFC 217.
