Cyborg Keeps It Real — ‘Rousey Fight Never Happened Cuz I Would Have Done Worse’

UFC featherweight Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is free to fight, now that she has cleared up her potential USADA violation. Justino’s new hurdle is finding someone to willingly fight her. Apparently this hurdle is proving hard to handle.

On a previous episode of The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Justino discussed with Helwani the chances of her fighting former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, a fight many have been dreaming since Justino’s entry into the sport.

“I think me and her fight is the biggest fight ever, but after she lost two fights I really knew she cannot take a punch. I knew this, you know? And the fight is never gonna happen and never happened before because she knows what’s gonna happen. And a lot of people know what’s gonna happen. Same thing Amanda did, I’m gonna do worse. And everybody knows this, and this fight never happened.”

Of course, Justino is finding it hard to find other fighters as well. Inaugural featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie explained that she needed some time off after her title victory over Holly Holm at UFC 208, leaving the number one contender awaiting her return.

“Cyborg” is cleared to compete, but not yet scheduled to fight within the UFC. Yet, her return to the octagon is simply a matter of time. She simply needs an opponent to join her on the mat.
