Georges St-Pierre finally made his long awaited UFC return earlier this year, moving up in weight to challenge UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping for his title at UFC 217. After nearly four years away from the sport of mixed martial arts, St-Pierre earned a submission victory over “The Count” for the middleweight title. However, things have not been going the French-Canadian phenom’s way ever since.
After suffering colitis, St-Pierre would go on to vacate his middleweight title. The fighter is now looking to recover from his debilitating circumstance before locking in his next move in the MMA world. As a result, it would appear that St-Pierre’s position in the UFC middleweight rankings has dropped as of late. That being said, the former middleweight champion is not alone.
Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not competed inside the octagon since going on a two fight losing streak to reigning champion Amanda Nunes and former title holder Holly Holm. Now the fighter’s absence has caused Rousey to drop in the UFC bantamweight rankings as well.
Both Rousey and St-Pierre have dropped three rankings within their respective divisions, as seen in the rankings listed below provided by UFC.com.
