With all the talk of Floyd Mayweather to the UFC today, the man himself has just spoken up and explained what’s really going on. In his statement, Floyd Mayweather says he could make a billion dollars quick, taking three UFC fights then rematching Conor McGregor in the Octagon.
Joe Rogan revealed what he knew during his podcast, stating, “Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC, like legitimately.”
Then, UFC president Dana White confirmed Joe’s words, and revealed what’s really going on.
Dana White told ESPN that there’s truth to all of this. The UFC President said, “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media, and then that s— ends up happening.
“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f—ing happened. Anything is possible.”
Last week Floyd stated “They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back . I can come right back. If I wanted to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon. I can do a three- or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make a billion dollars. Remember, I’m Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather.”
Now in a new interview, Floyd touches more on the topic, and kind of puts an end to the rumors in the process.
Here’s his statement:
“If I chose to get into the UFC and fight three-fights or fight four fights and then fight Conor McGregor I can make a Billion Dollars. You know, fight three or four fights and then fight Conor McGregor in the octagon. We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather. “
“I’m just saying I could. I’m not going to do it. But I’m saying what I could do is make a billion dollars quick. I never said I was going to fight in the UFC. I never said that. Could and would do are two different things. I’m not going to do it though.”

Floyd is a master of staying relevant without a fight.
If you think for 1 second Floyd is going to do an MMA Fight and risk tarnishing his GOAT legacy you’re dumber than he would be if he actually did it.— James Krause (@TheJamesKrause) December 20, 2017
Mayweather vs the winner of Holm/Cyborg, please. If we’re going here, let’s go all the way.

He's been following the sport for a long time. I think he would cross over to MMA better than any other boxer I know. https://t.co/p8UKvJWIot

If he's willing to step into the Octagon, he can have 90 million, and I'll take ten… that's how unfair the fight would be. https://t.co/ZxvjtzX0EO

I know fourteen year old kids that would ruin Mayweather in an MMA fight. He's not silly enough to step into the Octagon. https://t.co/MBhj9CkGVX
