First Jon Jones, Now Daniel Cormier’s Next Opponent Just Got Arrested In Florida

When it comes to facing quality human beings inside the Octagon, no one pulls the criminal opponent card more than UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

After his long grudge match with the legally embattled Jon Jones, D.C. is now reportedly set to fight another man with criminal tendencies.

UFC top contender Volkan Oezdemir was arrested Saturday Night on charges of aggravated battery in Florida. He spent the night behind bars before being released Sunday morning on a $10,000.00 bond.

The state of Florida describes the fighter’s charges with an intentional bodily harm of another.

If found guilty of the charges it might be considered a clear case of UFC code of conduct violation. How this impacts Volkan’s title shot against Daniel Cormier is yet to be determined.

A Police Report on the matter has yet to be made public.
