NOT DONE YET! Arlovski Schools Rothwell in a dominant decision victory

The UFC fighting circus is back in San Antonio for the second time since Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens put on the show way back in 2014. The event will be held this Saturday on July 21 and MMAIMPORTS is more than ready to deliver you the live UFC results from the beautiful city of San Antonio. The main card kicks off with the heavy hitters. It is hard to believe, but the former UFC Heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski (27-18-0-2) still has a fire to compete. However, Ben Rothwell (36-11-0) will be looking to land that single-retirement punch on Arlovski and put the lights on himself after the recent struggle with back to back decision losses. The fight was pretty one-sided as Arlovski came strong and in the best shape after a long time. He was destroying Rothwell with the variety of kickboxing arsenal and escaping the close-range brawls with his footwork to earn himself a unanimous decision victory. Arlovski has a lot of success with the boxing but Rothwell wakes up and connects with a nice two punch combo. Arlovski resets and connects with the big overhand right! Both fighters are very aggressive. Arlovski is looking like a sharper fighter. Rothwell has a hard time setting up his timing. Arlovski is constantly landing an overhand right from the outside. His boxing is on point early. Arlovski rocks Rothwell with another right! Rothwell is looking lost! Rothwell times the kick of Arlovski and surprises him with the overhand right! Arlovski takes the shot and continues to outbox Rothwell. Arlovski is a more active fighter, he is constantly landing. Rothwell is trying to time the single power shot. He is closer and closer. Arlovski is destroying Rothwell with the straight punches. He has found his range early. Arlovski is on fire! He is really letting his hands go! Rothwell has no answer on the feet. This is maybe the best version of Arlovski in recent years. Round 2 – Arlovski continues sticks to his boxing. Rothwell starts pressing forward but he is taking a lot of damage coming in. Arlovski is always a step ahead during the exchanges. He is mixing his attacks high and low well. Rothwell hasn’t landed anything in this round so far. Arlovski is much faster. He rocks Rothwell with the straight right! Rothwell spots the danger and clinches. He is looking to take some of that energy from Arlovski. Arlovski is working for a separation. Rothwell is putting strong pressure on him. They are back in the center and Arlovski continues punishing Rothwell with the body kicks. He fires a nice spinning back fist and lands! He is so unpredictable, Rothwell is looking confused. Rothwell steps in and lands a nice right hook! Arlovski shakes the shot and returns the big right hand! He is destroying the body of Rothwell with the kicks and coming over the top with the punches the entire round.
